Fall Begins with Two New Ghostzapper Stakes Winners

Superstar sire Ghostzapper began the fall racing season with two new blacktype winners during in a five day span.

At Gulfstream Park on September 30, his five-year-old daughter King's Ghost (pictured) stormed to a three-length victory in the $75,000 Monroe Stakes. Trained by Marty Wolfson for Miller Racing, the improving mare is also the latest blacktype winner bred and sold by Adena Springs.

Five days later at Presque Isle Downs, another Ghostzapper daughter, Cavalia,  scored in the $100,000 H. B. P. A. Stakes. She entered the race off a strong third in the Grade 2 Presque Isle Master Stakes in her stakes debut on September 18.

King's Ghost and Cavalia give Ghostzapper 12 blacktype winners in 2017 and they are among his 22 blacktype horses this year. 2017 marks the sixth straight season Ghostzapper has sired double-digit blacktype stakes winners and over 20 total blacktype stakes horses.
