The three-year-old daughter of Ghostzapper was coming off a good third in her stakes debut, the January 27 Marshua Stakes. In the Wide Country, she settled nicely under Angel Cruz before a four-wide move around the far turn catapulted her to the lead. She finished 3 1/4-lengths ahead of Deep Red on the wire.

Bred in Maryland by George Louis Doetsch Jr., Enchanted Ghost races in the colors of the Mens Grille Racing ownership group who purchased the filly at the 2016 Fasig-Tipton Eastern Yearling auction.

She's the 63rd blacktype winner for her sire, an impressive 11.6% from starters. That figure ranks behind only War Front and Uncle Mo among upper echelon North American stallions.
