From the start, the Stronach family has been firmly committed to offering the best stallion roster anywhere, and we are extremely proud of our success. From an initial stud fee of $5,000 we developed the late El Prado into a Champion Sire in North America. He is now one of the world's most important sire of sires as the sire of Medaglia d'Oro and Kitten's Joy.
Adena Springs has also developed Awesome Again, the sire of 11 Grade 1 winners and 4 Breeders' Cup Champions, tied with Smart Strike for the most among active stallions. He stands alongside his half brother, Macho Uno, the sire of a Grade 1 winner from each of his first two crops and a leading sales sire in 2012. Awesome Again's son, Horse of the Year Ghostzapper, is well on his way to fulfilling his vast potential at stud. He's the clear leader his crop with an impressive 2.48 Oppenheim 'ABC Index', having sired runners like Grade 1 Blue Grass Stakes winner Stately Victor.
Adena has committed significant stallion power to Canada, New York and California. Standing at Adena Springs in Ontario are: Giant Gizmo, a multiple graded stakes winner by emerging sire of sires Giant's Causeway; Milwaukee Brew, a Champion Sire in Canada; Epsom Derby (G1) winner North Light, sire of a Classic winner in his first crop; the versatile multiple Grade 1 winner Showing Up, a graded winner on turf and dirt; the Sadler's Wells son Sligo Bay, sire of 80% graded winners from stakes winners; Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) winner Wilko, the first Breeders' Cup Juvenile champion to be offered to Canadian breeders.
Five Adena stallions stand at McMahon Farm in New York: Alphabet Soup, the sire of over 40 stakes winners and the first Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) winner to stand in Empire State; Silent Name, the most accomplished North American racer by the immortal Sunday Silence to stand on this continent; the multiple Grade 1 winner Tiago; Classic winner Touch Gold, the sire of four Grade 1 winners and a quintessential 'breed to race' sire; Classic winner Harlem Rocker, winner of the Prince Of Wales Stakes, Withers S. (G3), and runner-up in the Cigar Mile (G1).
Olmodavor stands at Magali Farms in California. He is a multiple graded stakes winner by sire of sires A.P. Indy out of the El Gran Senor mare Corrazona. He won over $700,000 on the track and has sired several stakes runners including California stakes winner and track record-setter Miss Dixie Dancer. Noble Court will begin his stallion career under the Adena Springs banner at Magali Farms. The multiple G2 winner is bred on the powerful Seattle Slew/Fappiano cross that's already produced the top sires Tapit and Bernardini.
